General Terms and Conditions
HoReCa Center online store – consumer and business purchases
Effective from 4 August 2026. Version: 1.0.
1. The Seller and the scope of these Terms
IMPEX 2000 HoReCa Center Kereskedelmi Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (short registered name: IMPEX 2000 HoReCa Center Kft.; registered office: 1097 Budapest, Ecseri út 14–16., Building F, ground floor; mailing, collection and returns address: 1097 Budapest, Ecseri út 14–16., Building F, ground floor; company registration number: 01-09-071859; tax number: 10448742-2-43; EU VAT number: HU10448742; registration court: Company Court of the Budapest Metropolitan Court; representative: István Horváth, Managing Director; email: iroda@horecacenter.hu; telephone: +36 1 799 1191). The technical hosting service provider is BITheory Kft. (1192 Budapest, Zalaegerszeg u. 33. I/5.).
These Terms govern the sale of catering, packaging, hygiene, table-setting, serving and related products sold in the HoReCa Center online store. Both individual consumers and businesses may shop in the online store. The specific rights granted to consumers apply only to natural persons acting outside their trade, profession or business.
2. Conditions of purchase and registration
Registration is required to make a purchase. The Customer must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information, keep their login details confidential and report any unauthorised use without delay. Business customers must provide their company name, registered office or billing address and tax number.
The prices displayed in the online store are gross consumer prices in Hungarian forints (HUF), including VAT but excluding delivery charges unless stated otherwise. The total amount payable and all additional charges are shown before the order is finalised. For promotions, the previous price is displayed as required by law.
3. Ordering and formation of the contract
• The Customer selects the product, its sales unit and quantity, then adds it to the cart.
• The Customer checks and may correct the items in the cart, then enters or selects the billing and delivery details, delivery method and payment method.
• On the final order summary page, the Customer makes a binding offer by clicking “Order with obligation to pay”, after accepting these Terms and acknowledging the Privacy Notice.
• The system sends an automatic email acknowledging receipt of the order. This automatic message alone does not constitute acceptance of the order. The contract is formed when the Seller sends a separate confirmation accepting the order or commencing fulfilment.
If the automatic acknowledgement does not arrive within 48 hours, the Customer is no longer bound by their offer. The contract is concluded in Hungarian and is regarded as a contract concluded electronically. Order details are available in the customer account and the confirmation email.
4. Stock, product information and incorrect prices
Product images may be illustrative; the product page states the essential characteristics, pack size and sales unit. If a price is clearly incorrect – for example, it differs substantially from the generally known value of the product or results from a technical error – the Seller may offer fulfilment at the correct price, which the Customer is not obliged to accept. If a product is out of stock, the Seller will inform the Customer without delay and refund any amount paid in advance.
5. Payment methods
• Advance bank transfer to the bank account stated on the payment request or advance invoice.
• Cash, bank card or instant bank transfer on collection.
• Payment on delivery by cash or bank card, as actually supported by the selected delivery method.
• Cash, bank card or instant bank transfer on delivery by HoReCa Center’s own vehicles.
Online card prepayment is not available when these Terms take effect. The Seller issues a paper invoice in the Odoo system and hands it over or sends it with the goods.
6. Delivery and collection
• Collection: 1097 Budapest, Ecseri út 14–16., Building F, ground floor, following prior confirmation.
• GLS parcel delivery at the charges and on the terms displayed when ordering.
• Magyar Posta/MPL delivery at the charges and on the terms displayed when ordering.
• Delivery by HoReCa Center’s own vehicles within the service area and subject to the charges, minimum order value and agreed delivery time specified in the online store. In Budapest, this delivery method is unavailable for orders below HUF 10,000. For nationwide delivery by our own vehicles, the gross charge is HUF 2,000 for every commenced 20 km, calculated using the round-trip distance from our premises at 1097 Budapest, Ecseri út 14–16.
The applicable charge, estimated fulfilment time and any order-value threshold are shown before the order is finalised and form part of the confirmation. Unless a different time has been agreed, the Seller fulfils consumer contracts within 30 days at the latest. Partial deliveries are made only by agreement with the Customer.
On receipt, please check the package for external damage and request a damage report if visible damage is found. The absence of a damage report does not affect the consumer’s statutory rights in respect of defective performance or other statutory claims.
For GLS and MPL delivery, the expected delivery time is 48–72 hours from acceptance of the order. In Budapest, in-stock products delivered by our own vehicles are expected to arrive on the next business day. Current delivery charges and further conditions are set out on the online store’s “Delivery conditions” page and the final order confirmation screen at checkout.
After an unsuccessful first delivery attempt, the courier makes one further attempt. If the parcel is then returned to the Seller, it can be dispatched again only after the new delivery charge has been paid in advance.
7. Consumer right of withdrawal
Consumers may withdraw without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the goods or, where multiple goods are received at different times, of receiving the last item. The right of withdrawal may also be exercised between conclusion of the contract and receipt of the goods.
Withdrawal may be communicated by an unequivocal statement by post or email, using the separate model withdrawal form, or through the “Withdraw from the contract” function continuously available in the online store during the withdrawal period. The online function requires the withdrawal decision, the consumer’s name, the contract or order identifier and the electronic contact address to which confirmation should be sent; the statement is finalised using the “Confirm withdrawal” function. The Seller sends an acknowledgement of online withdrawal without delay on a durable medium, stating its content, date and time.
The consumer must return the goods within 14 days of notifying withdrawal to 1097 Budapest, Ecseri út 14–16., Building F, ground floor. The consumer bears the direct cost of returning the goods; the Seller is not obliged to accept cash-on-delivery returns.
Within 14 days of being informed of withdrawal, the Seller refunds the amount paid, including the least expensive standard delivery charge. The Seller may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been received or credible evidence of dispatch has been provided. Reimbursement is made using the original payment method unless the consumer expressly agrees to another method. The consumer is liable for any diminished value resulting from use beyond the handling necessary to try the goods.
8. Main exceptions to the right of withdrawal
In particular, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s instructions or express request, or clearly personalised goods; to sealed goods that cannot be returned for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed; or in other cases specified by law. The Seller indicates the exception separately on the relevant product page or before the order is placed.
9. Rights in respect of defective performance, product liability and guarantees
In the event of defective performance, consumers have the rights provided by the Hungarian Civil Code, Government Decree 373/2021 (VI. 30.) and, for products subject to a mandatory guarantee, Government Decree 151/2003 (IX. 22.). Repair or replacement may be requested in the first instance, unless impossible or involving disproportionate additional costs. Where the statutory conditions are met, a price reduction or termination of the contract may be requested. As a general rule, consumers’ claims in respect of defective performance become time-barred two years after performance; for transactions between businesses, the general period is one year. Product liability claims may be brought against the manufacturer or distributor within two years of the product being placed on the market.
Mandatory guarantees apply only to the new durable consumer goods listed by law and according to the price thresholds specified there. The guarantee period and conditions must be stated for the relevant product, on the guarantee certificate or on the invoice. Consumers’ statutory rights may not be restricted.
10. Complaints and enforcement of rights
Complaints may be made in person, by post, by telephone or by email using the Seller’s contact details given in these Terms. The Seller examines oral complaints immediately and remedies them where possible; written complaints receive a substantive written response within the statutory deadline. If a complaint is rejected, the Seller states the reasons and available remedies.
Consumers may initiate conciliation board proceedings. The board competent for the Seller’s registered office is the Budapest Conciliation Board (Budapesti Békéltető Testület), 1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99.; mailing address: 1253 Budapest, P.O. Box 10. Current contact details should be checked at bekeltet.bkik.hu. Consumers may also contact the conciliation board competent for their place of residence or stay. The territorially competent government office handles consumer-protection authority matters. The parties may also bring proceedings before a court.
The European Commission’s former online dispute resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025; these Terms therefore do not refer to an active ODR platform.
11. Data protection, copyright and final provisions
The processing of personal data is described in the separate Privacy Notice. The content of the website is protected by copyright. Matters not covered by these Terms are governed, in particular, by the Hungarian Civil Code, Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commerce, Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) and consumer-protection rules. The Seller may amend these Terms for the future; contracts already concluded remain subject to the version in force when the order was placed.
